Clutter.

I'm back! Spring has sprung around our neck of the woods and with it always comes BUSYNESS and more BUSYNESS! With three active little boys, spring always means the start of lots of nights sitting on bleachers and taxiing kids from one practice or game to the other! Don't get me wrong, I LOVE it, but having three kids on FIVE different teams can be a bit exhausting to say the least! I will be sure to post some spring pics of the boys enjoying their spring sports of soccer and baseball real soon!

Anywho...as for the topic of this post... CLUTTER.  Just saying the word literally makes me shudder! I try very, very hard to be super organized but as with so many things, my intentions are good but with such a hectic schedule alot of my "To Do" projects continue to be put aside month after month... which leads to areas of my home looking like this...

I struggle daily with worry about my house not being clean enough or organized enough, etc., etc.
It is one of the greatest challenges to me as a mother... balancing it all and still keeping an uncluttered and clean house! I long for simplicity in our lives and I feel that the first way to simplify our lives is to get rid of all the STUFF we are surrounded with that clutters not only our living spaces but our minds and our energy as well! I read organizational blogs, buy organizing magazines, drool over immaculately organized homes in magazines, but I know that comparing my home to these can be so draining and stressful. Some of you may have seen an article that was recently floating around FB about how we as mothers are daily bombarded with reasons to feel we are not doing enough... if you haven't read it, here is the link. It is SO good and exactly what I needed to hear! I would love to hear y'alls comments on the daily challenge of keeping your homes neat and tidy and the struggle we have as mothers in not comparing ourselves and our homes to others .... guess I better get to sleep so I can tackle some more decluttering tomorrow! (:

  1. Bobi, that drawer you posted a pic of IS organized compared to mine! :) Just remember that one day, all to soon, those kids that are keeping you busy will be grown and you will have plenty of time for organizing. Enjoy the chaos of running them around (as much as possible) and take it easy on yourself. There will always be more time to clean the house. Your kids will only be small for a little while. As the saying goes, no one ever looks back on death bed and wishes they had worked or cleaned more. :) God bless you my friend!
