May Fun.. Part One.. A Fundraiser and Family Camping Trip to Kerr Lake!

It has been almost a month since I have blogged due to all the fun and busyness we have been experiencing around the Bobbitt homestead!  First, I want to update y'all on the adoption front... we are so happy to announce that our I600A was finally mailed into the US Citizenship and Immigration Services on May 31st!! We are only a few days and a few dollars away from being able to finally submit our dossier... this means the Paper Chase is almost officially over! WOW.. I don't know what I will do with myself when I am not running around town to get notaries, to be fingerprinted, gather forms, papers, etc!! What a relief it will be to just be able to relax a bit as we plan for our new arrival next summer! Now the real fun begins... planning the nursery, trips to Africa next year, and gathering all things PINK! (:  We are beside ourselves excited to be well on our way to bringing home our baby girl! I wanted to let all y'all know of the current fundraiser we are doing to raise the rest of the funds needed to submit our dossier. We are doing a WalMart giftcard raffle, and who couldn't use a giftcard to "Wally World"! All tickets are $5 and they give you a chance at the drawing for a $250 WalMart giftcard (drawing will be held on July 10th... my sweet middle son, Jack, has already been chosen as the official "drawer". All proceeds go directly to our Adoption Fund and help us get one step closer to bringing our daughter home! Please message me if you are interested in purchasing some!

I have so many good pics from the month of May I want to document here for the kids scrapbook. I think that this will have to be one of those Part One and Part Two blog posts! HA! We had so much fun in May camping at Kerr Lake and going to the beach. I will start with our weekend camping trip we took the end of May. Daddy had a Bass Tournament on Kerr Lake so we decided to turn it into a little weekend Family Getaway!

What a fun weekend we had at Kerr Lake! Uncle Alan and Aunt Becca set up their camper beside our trailer and it was my kind of camping trip... which included A.C. and indoor plumbing! Gathering sticks for bonfires every night, eating breakfast outdoors, riding the golf cart to the lake, tubing,boating, swimming,the boys catching frogs and bugs in jars,  and just slowing down and being together! We are hoping to get back there real soon!
