I am back... in more ways than one!!! For two months I have postponed writing on the blog and I am really not sure why... I guess I felt discouraged that in our adoption news, there really isn't much to tell. We are currently sitting at #99, however we know that we are now actually #97 ,as two children have come home since our January waitlist number was calculated! Does that make sense?? Many changes have been happening with Ethiopia's adoptions which has caused everything to slow down in the past six months or so. We are praying fervently that God would cause 2012 to be the year of many referrals!! I get the question at least once a day, "When is your Sadie coming home?" And I LOVE when people ask us about our adoption, but it is discouraging to have to tell them that with the way things have been going, we could have 18+ more months to wait! But I am not claiming this! I know that God is going to do mighty things in our adoption, because he loves these precious Ethiopian children so much more than any of us do! And His heart is SO for orphans and adoption! The Bible is full of references to orphans, the fatherless, and adoption! So we know that our daughter will not come home late by one single day! He is lining our family up with her even right now! It is truly amazing!

It has been a very fun winter season so far! As March brings fresh new life in the budding trees and the
blooming Daffodils, my prayer is for a revival in Ethiopian adoptions! May He bring many waiting children
home this spring to their forever families!
* yes, these pictures were taken with my old Nikon camera, that's right... I finally sold it! And am saving towards a new Canon Rebel! So hence the blurry unfocused pics! Here's to much clearer pics in the new year! (:
Felt like I could have written that post back in 06', 07', or even 08'! I know all too much about that feeling of we're only "this" many months away...and saying that for TWO years!
ReplyDeleteThis wait can take an emotional toll that noone can understand unless you've been there. Praying for you and for that precious little girl! God is preparing the way and he's got in mind the most perfect fit for your family. Hope you hear some good news soon!
