We checked a huge step off of our adoption process today as we COMPLETED OUR HOME STUDY VISIT with our social worker, YAYYY... we are so excited that we are that much closer to being through with our dossier and on the waitlist!! The home study interviews went great today and our social worker was so nice, it actually was fun just sitting at the kitchen table and chatting with her about both of our lives for 4 hours! She even had a chance to meet and talk with each of the kids. Now she will write up our official home study over the next month, so we are hoping that it will be completed by the second week in April, and as far as our FBI background checks are back by then, we will be able to submit our dossier to AGCI and to Ethiopia!!! This will put us on the waitlist! We originally were told that we would be on the waitlist for approx. 9-12 months, but with the possible changes in MOWA, we are not sure how long our wait will be, but we just can't wait to be officially WAITING! God is so good and we trust Him in this recent "road block" along our journey! We are certain that this is what He has called us to and we know that He will equip us for whatever lies ahead on this road to our daughter!
I will leave you tonight with some cute pictures of the boys taken yesterday after church. These pictures were taken where Justis and I got married almost nine years ago, the Historic Courtyard Green in downtown Edenton. It was such a beautiful spring day!
