Thank you...

For those of you who have signed the petition, we just want to say THANK YOU so much for your support! We are already seeing our prayers answered as we got "unofficial" word today that MOWA (the Ministry of Women's Affairs in Ethiopia) may possibly be coming to an agreement to only cut their daily adoption reviews to 20 per day rather than the 5 that we had originally heard.  Although it is not the 50 cases per day that they had previously been reviewing, I am praising God that it seems that they may be willing to compromise! A caucus call was held on Friday between the U.S. Dept. of State and many U.S. adoption agencies regarding this situation. And today, the first meeting was held in Ethiopia between the U.S. Dept. of State, other countries seeking to assist in this issue, and the Ethiopian government. These meetings will continue throughout the week. Although we are not sure what the future holds right now as far as if our wait time will be increased to bring our daughter home, we are trusting that she will come home in God's perfect timing! This situation did not catch Him by surprise and we are certain this is just another means He is using to line us up with our daughter!

We checked a huge step off of our adoption process today as we COMPLETED OUR HOME STUDY VISIT with our social worker, YAYYY... we are so excited that we are that much closer to being through with our dossier and on the waitlist!! The home study interviews went great today and our social worker was so nice, it actually was fun just sitting at the kitchen table and chatting with her about both of our lives for 4 hours! She even had a chance to meet and talk with each of the kids. Now she will write up our official home study over the next month, so we are hoping that it will be completed by the second week in April, and as far as our FBI background checks are back by then, we will be able to submit our dossier to AGCI and to Ethiopia!!! This will put us on the waitlist! We originally were told that we would be on the waitlist for approx. 9-12 months, but with the possible changes in MOWA, we are not sure how long our wait will be, but we just can't wait to be officially WAITING! God is so good and we trust Him in this recent "road block" along our journey! We are certain that this is what He has called us to and we know that He will equip us for whatever lies ahead on this road to our daughter!

I will leave you tonight with some cute pictures of the boys taken yesterday after church. These pictures were taken where Justis and I got married almost nine years ago, the Historic Courtyard Green in downtown Edenton. It was such a beautiful spring day!

My sweet boy is growing up way too fast, such a handsome fella he is!!

And.... quite the daredevil!!!!

The Three Amigos!

I will update the blog as soon as we recieve any new information regarding this situation, please continue to pray.... we are so thankful to have such wonderful family and friends supporting us!
